What is a SEER rating?
SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) and HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) are measures of efficiency for heat pumps. SEER and HSPF ratings are like miles per gallon in cars - the higher the rating, the more energy efficient the unit and the more money you save. All American Standard systems satisfy or exceed minimum government SEER and HSPF standards. Choose a higher efficiency unit for greater savings.
